  • January 1974 until present – private practice of optometry in Galveston, TX
  • 1986 to 1996 ran satellite practice in Dickinson, TX
  • July 1973 to December 1973 worked in private practice in Taylor, TX

  • Member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations for over forty years
  • Member of Southeast Texas Optometric Society, including serving as president

Community Service

  • Thirty-year member of the Lions Club
  • Thirty-year member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Dickinson, Served three terms on the church board and one year as Senior Deacon
  • Instituted an “at cost” eyeglass program for several Lions Clubs in the area saving thousands of dollars over the years

Practice Manager

Traci has over 30 years of optical experience. She came to the practice in 1992 as a certified Optician. When not at work she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Emelda Ramirez

Receptionist

Emelda has been with the practice for over 28 years. She is an expert with vision insurance. Her hobbies include crocheting and ceramics.

Meet the Opticians

Myrna Montoya

Myrna has worked in the optical field for over 25 years. She joined the practice in 2007. She is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

Christine Hopper

Christine has 36 years of experience; most of them have been spent in Galveston. She joined the practice in 2011. Christine enjoys helping patients find the perfect pair of frames, and in her words, “I truly love my job!”
